Trump decided to kill Detroiters by withholding essential equipment. He’s chosen not to act, trash talking about Michigan’s governor in the process. Welcome to Trump’s death panel.
Let’s cut through the bullshit here. If Trump wanted to look like a hero to the American public, he’d listen to virologists, epidemiologists, and public health experts and do what they asked — but no.
“But the president said nobody could see this coming!” the Trumpists say. Bull. Shit.
This is a hurricane. You must be hunkered down and ready to ride it out. But this hurricane will last far longer than a week or two.
Remember back in 2009 during the health care debates when conservatives and the Republican Party cried about “death panels”?
None of this had to happen. Not a lick of it. It makes the ongoing daily failures even more ridiculous.
I figured it would be the oldsters in the family who would be my first worry when it came to COVID-19. I was wrong. This is an open thread.
Good news: my kid tested positive for strep. Bad news: COVID-19 is still on the march, and we have some Swedish Death Cleaning to do.
COVID-19 makes family discussions interesting. Challenging, even. I never expected to have to tell one of my kids not to come home.
