Christie Starts Paying Off His Campaign Debts

Wasting no time in paying off Ralph Marra for politicizing a bust of a bunch of Democrats this summer, Chris Christie has already indicated he will name Marra to be his Attorney General. (h/t Main Justice)

Knowledgeable Republican sources say that newly-elected Gov. Christopher Christie will name U.S. Attorney Ralph Marra as New Jersey’s new attorney general in January, after Christie is sworn in.

Any bets on which other AUSAs Christie will be bringing into state government as pay-off?

How long before Christie is indicted do you think? He is under investigation for more than a few of his actions.

Have any elected officials ever been indicted between their election and their inauguration? If not, lets hope Christie becomes an historic figure ; )

Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano was hunted down and caught on tape by Christie’s USAtty ofice in the time before, between and after his two elections and inauguration.

FWIW, the timeline went that he had his first election in May which led to a required runoff in arly June. He was inaugurated July 1, caught on tape again on July 16 (the day after making a public pronouncement that there would be no pay-to-play in his administration, and arrested about July 22 or 24 (I forget the exactdate now, but you ca look it up). Dwek had been delivering cash and running tape all through the time period.

Even though I no longer live in NJ I have the same sense of dread that I had when Shrub was first appointed. I too hope for an indictment soon.

C’mon, what’s all this talk about accountability?

Don’t you know this is a new America, an America where no one but the average American is ever held accountable? Surely Christie will sweat a little but if he was able to sail through the election without the media trumpeting his crimes and his shenanigans with Brown, does anyone really expect him to be held accountable for anything?

    I don’t and I won’t hold my breath.
