Dana “Pig Missile” Perino to Do Crisis Communications for AIG?

Hiring someone who doesn’t know the difference between the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis to do crisis communications for big evil corporations?

I’ve got a feeling this may end badly. But we might get some laughs along the way.

Do they (Penn and Burson Marsteller) think the American people are all ready the walking dead? (well) If middle America in the suburbs of Dayton Ohio know that they have been ripped off by CEO’s and executives on Wall Street/ and in the offices of AIG (and they know) why would Penn bring on a face (Perino) that represents the arrogant face of the Bush administration? Perino? She is not a convincing spin master

EW, I think you are right “this may end badly”

Arguably, pig missile kept Bush in double digit approval. But probably more likely is that there are just some people who will do what no sane person would do. She is the Alan Keyes of public relations.

Her ability to ignore the questions and then move right into the lies was astounding. I guess that is why she got the job

        • Petrocelli says:

IIRC, Perino did not have hair dye run down her face even once … that’s gotta be worth sumthin’ !

        • skdadl says:

          But her voice.

I wouldn’t make this comment if it were just personal, but it does have to do with her job, after all. She speaks too tight and high and fast, which makes her sound, forgive me, like a duck. You’d think that the White House could have sprung for some speech lessons. I could never hear that voice without thinking of a duck.

Written by one who now has almost no voice, but then I don’t get paid for my voice.

        • Petrocelli says:

Neither was she … she was paid for her bubble- headed beach blonde(™ Don Henley) look, which would mesmerize the populace and let them ignore whatever she spewed. I think it worked on a lot of Repugs, so they stayed with the same gameplan when selecting the Veep nominee.

      • Peterr says:

She is the Alan Keyes of public relations.

She should fit in well with Mark Penn, then, as he is the Keyes of polling and strategy.

OT, but under little interesting items, it appears that Eliot Spitzer and TARP overseer Elizabeth Warren are scheduled for “Morning Joe” on Wed. (tomorrow). No clue whether they’ll be on at the same time, but I sure hope Spitzer can help shed some light on the financial meltdown.

I’m sure Pig Missile Perino will be all in a huff over Spitzer being allowed any public forums, so I hope she gets all pissy and bitchy over it, seeing as how she’s the AIG spokesperson and will no doubt want to imply that Spitzer is not credible despite what he knows about AIG ;-))

that ACLU letter should be printed in full over at Oxdown or somewhere for folks to read. hell yes preserve those sites and those tapes are not gone “forever” someone somewhere has them.

      Dick are you there?

why would AIG want a war criminal’s spokesperson to be the face of their corporation ???

    criminal stupidity, maybe ???

abu gonzo and his criminal buddies are in the process of being charged with crimes against humanity

once abu gonzo is convicted, george bush is GUILTY, and george bush has NO CHANCE TO CLAIM INNOCENCE (as CINC, george bush has ben guilty of war crimes ever since the convicted the first soldier of torture)

then we get down to accessories before, during, and after the fact

dana perino is clearly an accessory to crimes against humanity

and I don’t GIVE A FUCK WHAT POLITICIAN TRIES TO PROTECT GEORGE BUSH

we’re coming for his sorry ass

and WE WILL UPHOLD THE RULE OF LAW HERE

so how does haveing an empoyee dragged off in handcuffs and charged with crimes against humanity help AIG ???

AIG DOES REALIZE THAT CORPORATIONS CAN BE CONVICTED OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY

    right ???

Perino is a blonde petite pack of poison. No conscience, comfortable with spin no matter who it effects.

What they are not counting on is that middle America has had it with their gutter spin cycles. Had it. I’m telling you going to soccer games(nieces and nephews) in the suburbs Kettering, Bellbrook, Beavercreek. I have been asking lots of questions and these folks have had it with the Republicans except the folks who made lots of money flipping those mortgages.

is there some way that an American citizen can give birth to a non-citizen child ???

Can you imagine if Holocaust survivors were told the men or women who turned on the gas chambers , tortured etc could not be held accountable how they would feel? Pissed off seriously pissed off.

Whey these same rules do not apply to those in the Bush administration who were just “following orders” is outrageous. Criminal

What is up with Panetta? So Panetta confirms that these torturers operated outside of the law and he will not touch them. Totally pathetic. The whole world is watching
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/…..64390.html

“Panetta said there is no intention to hold CIA officers responsible for the policies they were told to carry out. CIA interrogators who used waterboarding or other harsh techniques against prisoners with the permission of the White House should not be prosecuted, he said.

The Bush White House approved CIA waterboarding, a form of simulated drowning, for three prisoners in 2002 and 2003. The CIA banned the practice internally in 2006. Obama has prohibited harsh interrogation techniques going forward.

But Panetta said if interrogators went beyond the methods they were told were legal, they should be investigated.”
