BREAKING: James Comer Jumps Right on Hunter Biden’s Dick Pics

As expected, James Comer has wasted no time after getting the House Oversight gavel before launching an investigation into Hunter Biden.

ABC reports that, in addition to demanding SARs relating to Hunter Biden (at least some of which Ron Johnson already got), Comer has scheduled testimony for three former Twitter executives — Jim Baker, Yoel Roth, and Vijaya Gadde.

Comer sent letters to former top Twitter employees including former Twitter lawyer Vijaya Gadde, former head of trust and safety Yoel Roth, and former deputy general counsel James Baker, requesting that they testify at a public hearing during the week of Feb. 6.

“Your attendance is necessary because of your role in suppressing Americans’ access to information about the Biden family on Twitter shortly before the 2020 election,” Comer wrote to the former employees.

Among the things Twitter “suppressed access to” before the November 2020 election, of course, was access to Hunter Biden’s dick pics.

Indeed, we know some of those dick pics were sent out as part of a coordinated campaign pushed by Steve Bannon associate Guo Wengui.

Starting on October 22, 2020, Guo then personally managed minute details of the distribution of pictures and videos. In audio messages he sent to groups of supporters using WhatsApp, which I obtained, he set up a process in which key backers would post Hunter Biden pictures on his streaming website, GTV—a sort of Chinese-language YouTube knockoff—and others would then amplify them. He decreed that much of the material would first be posted by followers living abroad, to help prevent any lawsuits seeking to block the effort.

“Look at the video copied from Hunter’s computer,” Guo said in a WhatsApp messages to underlings on October 27. (He spoke in Chinese. The messages have been translated.) In another message, referring to various Hunter videos, Guo ordered: “Post one right now, one every hour from now on…I want everyone to fully promote it.”

In other words, James Comer has made it his top priority — one of the very first things he did as Chair! — to schedule a hearing so he can learn why Twitter prevented him from accessing pictures of Hunter Biden’s dick leading up to the 2020 election.

It is the top priority of the House GOP to inquire why Twitter took down non-consensually posted revenge porn posted by an associate of a top GOP propagandist.

Update: Axios’ story on this is even worse than ABC’s. It falsely suggests the only thing that Twitter only suppressed access to the NY Post story on the “Hunter Biden” “laptop” (and doesn’t note that even Fox wouldn’t report it), giving Comer a pass for prioritizing Hunter Biden’s dick pics.

Driving the news: House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) sent letters Wednesday to several former Twitter executives who were involved in the decision to suppress the New York Post’s reporting about Hunter Biden.

Update: Bloomberg’s Billy House also doesn’t think it worth mentioning that James Comer has called a hearing, in part, because Twitter took down non-consensual dick pics.

Comer really is an emerging piece of work apparently. Does not appear smart or informed enough to create anything but extremist bullshit. Ought be a fun couple of years.

    • Just Some Guy says:

Not emerging, he’s been a well-known POS for years to those of us who have to live in the same state as him. This was the guy who Matt Bevin (barely) beat in 2015 for the Kentucky GOP nomination for Governor, after all. When a person as completely unlikeable and unpopular as Matt Bevin beats you, well…

      • bmaz says:

Yeargh. So, it is like putting Paul Gosar in charge of…anything? Because Comer seems almost as stupid as Gosar. Jeebus.

        • Just Some Guy says:

He’s not as flamboyantly, overtly stupid as Gosar, perhaps, but he is just as bad for sure.

One other aspect of his malevolence is that the Kentucky General Assembly gerrymandered District 1 to stretch all the way to Frankfort so Comer wouldn’t have to establish residency in Western Kentucky, where the majority of his constituents reside. That means he represents people who live a further drive away from his residence (4-5 hours from Paducah or Mayfield) than it is to fly from Lexington to D.C. (about an hour). Clearly was a “favor” to Comer on behalf of the GOP superduperstupid-majority in the KGA.

      • Dark Phoenix says:

This is the guy who, when the House started looking into Dan Snyder’s issues with sexual harrassment and such, decided that the cheerleaders opposing Snyder deserved to have nude and compromising photos added to the Congressional Record… Which is almost definitely want he wants to do with Hunter’s dick pics.

      • earlofhuntingdon says:

A party that kowtows to MTG and Matty Gaetz, and refuses to refuse to seat George Santos, is already sending its best. It might be better to ask who their patrons are that they want such compromised and destructive clowns running the federal legislature.

        • Fraud Guy says:

Well let’s see, they are funded by billionaires and wealthy authoritarian regimes who want to reshape the world into an autocratic paradise, with a side of religious zealotry…

    • joel fisher says:

As long as they have underscum with brains, they can operate. Especially since the traditional work of government–making the country a better place–is down the shitter.

  2. Patrick G. says:

Comer comes across as a seriously creepy dude – he can barely control his delight at releasing nude photos obtained under suspicious circumstances. Never heard of the guy until recently but he seems to love the spotlight now.

    • Just Some Guy says:

His creepiness goes way back, all the way to his college days:

  3. dakine01 says:

Amazingly enough, Comer was not one of the reps supporting the insurrection. Hal Rogers was the only one from Kentucky who did that.

But with Comer, Rogers, and Massie, plus McConnell & Paul, Kentucky can match or exceed the worst any other states offer.

    • Just Some Guy says:

Don’t forget Andy Barr and the remarkably forgettable Brett Guthrie!

Pretty sure Hal’s vote not to certify the election was probably the result of someone from the “Freedom Caucus” telling him it was a vote to put his name on another building in Eastern Kentucky.

      • dakine01 says:

Barr unfortunately is my current rep &is also what passes for a “moderate” these days. I.e., he can walk, chew gum, and string more than two sentences together in a coherent whole

        • Just Some Guy says:

Ooooff, sorry that Barr is your rep. He’s awful. And definitely not “moderate” in any sense other than he’s more of a shill for the GOP’s “big business” policies as opposed to the Freedom Caucus, but he’s still definitely a lunatic. Sadly, the Democratic Party “nominee” against him last year, Geoff Young, is an even bigger lunatic!

    • JohnJJSchmidt says:

      Can I enter that competition?
      Ron DeSantis
      Marco Rubio
      Rick Scott
(just realized my rep is Kathy Castor
but literally across the street Rep is )

  4. Bears7485 says:

Is the dissemination of these pictures not considered revenge porn because they’re technically the property of the blind computer repairman?

I recall Peter Thiel, furious at Gawker for outing him, bankrolled Hulk Hogan’s takedown of Gawker Media for publishing the Hogan sex tape. Gawker was wrong in both cases, but how are Hunter’s dick pics any different?

  5. TooLoose LeTruck says:

So I’m glancing at the article, not really reading it closely… something something something about Hunter Biden dic pics?

Clearly a topic of great import… I get down the the Matt Tabbai tweet and there’s the word ‘Handled’… at this point I nearly spit out a mouthful of coffee as I did a double take…

Had to read a bit more carefully at this point, to make sure Matt Schlapp wasn’t involved…

  6. earlofhuntingdon says:

It’s not clear who put what on this deeply compromised computer or when. It might once have been Hunter Biden’s, but that says nothing about what’s happened to it since or who is responsible for what’s on it now.

I don’t understand your question. Do you doubt that it’s revenge porn to publish nude photos of people without their consent, or to use them to embarrass the president for electoral and political advantage? What I want to know is why the GOP thinks “investigating” this is one of its top legislative priorities. Could it be that it has no better ones and doesn’t want Americans to know how politically corrupt and bankrupt it is?

    • Raven Eye says:

So generally, defining and establishing penalties for participating “revenge porn” is a state issue. Shouldn’t some of these Republican members be worried about thin ice?

      • Fraud Guy says:

I’d bet if that happened at a state level, they will claim federal preemption for legislative speech and debate, while passing bills preventing any state from investigating their corruption on other matters, for…reasons.

      • Just Some Guy says:

The likelihood that James Comer would ever be indicted for revenge porn by any Kentucky prosecutor is… not high.

I mean, if recent history is anything to go by:

    • Rugger_9 says:

The lost links in the chain of custody in addition to the ‘modifications’ make the laptop completely useless as evidence in any litigation or criminal trial (IANAL, but I’ll go out on a limb here). However, the whole idea about the laptop (and the equally flimsy ‘Biden docs’ flapfest) is to smear Biden in the court of public opinion, gleefully abetted by CNN and the rest of the courtier press. That’s even before considering why this is news NOW instead of November when DoJ started its investigation. When it comes to stuff like this I never think it’s coincidental to something that Trump was getting hit for (like, in DC).

Comer gave the game away when he asked for all sorts of Biden dirt unrelated to Hunter. One hopes the Ds on the committee ask pointed questions about Jarvanka. I do see there is ‘conventional wisdom’ being floated that the presence of Ds on Comer’s (and Jordan’s J6-2.0) committees implies bipartisanship, but only if the Ds vote along with the GOP and I can’t see that happening. We’ll see who Jeffries nominates and what the Speaker does with them. Also, why only 6 Ds out of 15 on the J6-2.0 committee? It’s not like the GOP has a yuge margin in the House.

I also saw the unsurprising news that Rep Santos told the Long Island GOP to (rhetorically) perform a physical impossibility when the party elders demanded he resign. There is no doubt McCarthy needs Santos’ vote, but if Santos does resign wouldn’t there be a special election in NY-3?

      • earlofhuntingdon says:

When the GOP party elders force Santos’s expulsion from the House, I’ll pay attention. Until then, they’re providing cover for their compatriots using him to maintain a thin majority.

        • Rugger_9 says:

Indeed, that’s why McCarthy, et al refuse to address Santos, or the one from UT caught investing in the companies he’s overseeing (might be a repeat offender as well) and the Sedition Caucus (Biggs, Boebert, MTG, Gosar, et al). Perhaps a dozen or so in hot water and that means McCarthy loses the majority if they’re turfed out. Given the one rep rule to ‘vacate the chair’ the Speaker is on thinner ice that most.

      • Raven Eye says:

I’d love to see the Dems on the committee introduce the concept of Republican revenge porn into the hearings.

    • Justsomeguy says:

In my humble opinion, one must put on their “Conservative Thinking Cap and 3d Glasses” if you want to navigate the mirrors of the funhouse. First Premise – Anything that furthers consolidation of conservative power is right and good and true, anything that slows or seeks to stop the consolidation of conservative power is horrible and foreign and from the devil. Second Premise – language is a tool to accomplish the First Premise (as is everything else)
Ergo – If it was a conservative who was in this exact set of circumstances, then IT WOULD be a horrible non consensual invasion of their privacy, and there would be little doubt that it was enabled by foreign interests (but not the autocratic foreign governments the GOP is palsy with), and the right wing griftosphere would go into full effect raising money to defend them (of which a few pennies on the dollar might make to their actual defense).
However, this was ‘information’ that, through being throttled from going viral did NOT serve its purpose of expanding conservative power, therefore any actors involved in slowing or stopping its amplification are, how did he phrase it? “Suppressing Americans Access to Information about The Biden Family before an Election” Meanwhile, the whole part about the ‘information’ being revenge porn nudes published without the consent of the people in them, acquired through the strangest of means and channels, which would be THE POINT if this was happening to someone on their own team, isn’t a problem and does not exist.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think that, in a country where a large number of people have dealt with grief and loss of loved ones, and with loved ones with addiction issues, the things that Joe Biden has dealt with in his personal life IS the stuff that humanizes him to the electorate – it sure isn’t his Senatorial Record, so when I see the most disturbing parts of the GOP being mad they didn’t get the ‘win’ they expected and making a literal Federal Issue out of it, I still don’t think they are going to get their intended results.

For every person who is mad because they think that, if this got traction, it would have bent the election in the other direction, there are 5 citizens who have lost a wife or a son or a brother – who had their grief take the wheel for a while and did some things they aren’t proud of, or were there to witness someone else they care about go through the same things, and seeing that part of themselves in the First Family isn’t necessarily a political negative. Not to snark, but on the flip, when it comes to “Which President’s Children Have The Potential To Harm The Whole World Through Their Desire to Own It?” my chip is not placed on a square that says Biden.

      • Just Some Guy says:

In case anybody thinks I might be agreeing with myself, the above is not a comment that I wrote and posted. But I do agree with its premise! Really strange to have a nearly-the-same-name doppelganger though.

  7. Super Nintendo Chalmers says:

Daily Kos has a background story on what a sleaze Comer is. He’s a performative concern troll. He whinged about sexualized and salacious pictures of Washington NFL cheerleaders and then posted them anyway, including an unredacted version that identified each of the victims:

“Our clients are both humiliated and incensed by the GOP’s reckless dissemination of these photographs in an official Congressional document,” attorneys Lisa Banks and Debra Katz wrote in a letter to Comer. “They also feel retaliated against by Republican Committee members who have apparently chosen to embarrass them publicly for coming forward. There was simply no legitimate reason for GOP members to have done this, and it has caused our clients additional and unnecessary pain.”

So here’s a guy who recently put “sexualized and salacious photographs” in one official document, and now he’s asking why Twitter didn’t allow the posting of nude photos of a man without his consent as a political weapon against the man’s father. There’s a pattern with Comer, and it’s pretty gross. Additionally, a former college girlfriend has alleged that Comer abused her physically and mentally, and drove her to get an abortion.”

    What a disgusting hypocrite.

With the power of the gavel in Republican hands, Americans will finally get some of the answers, transparency and accountability they deserve – as well as real solutions. Based on our oversight work, House Republicans will propose reforms that can ease these crises and stop future abuses. We will use every tool at our disposal to make the federal government efficient, effective and accountable.

This development probably deserves its own thread, but yeah, what a huge loss. Still making vital new music right up to the end, too. Beck really did it all, and his style is virtually inimitable.

Jimi and Duane were both tremendous players, and it’s truly unfortunate neither lived long enough to continue their musical journeys and relationships to establish a body of work such as Beck’s—although many have contemplated the intriguing possibilities of those “what if?s”…

An effort to quash unfavorable stories in the midst of a campaign has nothing to do with the First Amendment–which applies to government restrictions on speech. Some folks may recall Trump doing everything he could to bury the “You can grab em by the p***y video.” Within hours after the Trump video became public Wiki leaks released.the most damaging things they had on Clinton (with assistance/coordination from Roger Stone). Trump does nothing but whine and play the victim in ways that assists him in continuing his fleecing of the deplorables.

  14. e.a.foster says:

So, they want to investigate why some one or some company didn’t let them look at pictures of the President’s son’s penis. How do these people know these pictures are actually those of Hunter Biden, that would be my question. There is something very wierd going on there. If they want to see another man’s penis might it not be easier to follow him into a bathroom. Using valuable time in the House of Representatives is so stupid. Its all a tad creepy. Perhaps there is no poverty, lack of health care, lack of housing in the U.S.A. and everything is perfect so they can play games. perhaps this group of people might want to have a look at some of the enviornmental issues in the U.S.A., in pictures, and then decide to do something about the problems. If this group of people want pictures, perhaps citizens could just send them pictures of things which need attending to, like schools which need maintenace, people sleeping on streets. To get the attention of the committe members, they could just draw penises on the pictures. \

Canada certainly has it share of problems which are being “investigated” but nothing as “serious” as “dick pics”.

This “committe” reminds me of the Iranian government officials who are jailing and killing people who protest women being forced to cover their hair. They all need to get a job, they obviously don’t have enough to do.
