Though Fox called it for Obama, then un-called it, so we may not be out of the woods yet.

Ah CNN just projected it–they seem to be one of the most conservative tonight.

So I think we can call the election for Obama.

    If we haven’t already.

The question to ask now is when will McCain concede.

Well, that’s not the only question I guess. The other would be whether he wants marmalade or apple butter on his toast.

      • emptywheel says:

McCain has to try to hold his burning carcas alive through 11, if for no other reason than to try to hold some competitive House seats in CA.

Not sure if he can succeed, though.

    from the salon liveblog:

David Talbot (9:24 p.m. EST): Priceless. A funereal Brit Hume and equally somber Karl Rove call Ohio for Obama. “No Republican has ever won the White House without winning Ohio,” observes a deeply gloomy Rove.

suck it, rove. you have “the math”, but we’ve got the numbers.

    • momaloney39 says:

We need to send Rove to Alaska…he will freeze to death and Palin
will drive him nuts with her betcha and other fineries~~ He just
might decide to stay in the cold and we will find him in an iceberg
      off the coast.

CNN’s Dana Bash says that the Repugs are not releasing the news about Ohio at the McCain Victory Bash.

Denial is not a river in Egypt.

At 8:30 a poll worker slipped off the worktable to whispered in my ear (I’m a poll observer) the paper rolls are saying “its big”. If it was big in the only Republican precincts in my NE county of Ohio, I knew America has been give another chance. It was another hour before the BOE bags of memory sticks and two duplicate rolls of voting tapes, 104 provincial ballots and about 50 paper ballots were tucked into the back of a Sheriff’s SUV for transport to the Board of Education.

The decision of Sec. of State Brunner to symbolize a new era of public transparency by taping a third duplicate copy of all the tapes from the voting machines on the outside of the doors to the polling place- WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT!

Anyone remember the film Nanuk the eskimo? (Sp?) With IIRC scene of the elderly person sent out to die meeting a Polar bear.

May I am making it up after no sleep and much to drink. But it’s a nice image, don’t you just betcha?
